The Proscenium, is the threshold between the stage and the world. The imaginary wall through which the audience watches the action unfold. It is present, yet untouchable. The fourth wall.

Displayed in a woodland clearing at Contemporary Sculpture Fulmer, Buckinghamshire, where nature is performing. A school chair without a seat, impossible for us to occupy. For the birds and insects, another matter entirely.

The sound installation is composed with pianist Kamilla Arku and heard through five speakers. Five sounds. One orchestra.

Theatre is where democracy was born. The Proscenium asks what remains when the seat is taken away.
